Day 5 - I Got Some Wild, Wild Life

Cooler weather rejuvenates this old dog. I can't believe that it only has to drop down to the 80's and I'm a wild dog but after several days at 100, it is a cold front, I tell you. Last night, I was super crazy. After spending some time in the garden with my parents picking tomatoes and cucs, it was time to really pump up the wildness. To keep me at peak performance, of course, I needed some snacks and part of that steak mom and dad were having for supper. Give me steak. Give me steak. Then, I was on a roll. I did some spins (which are not as good as in the old days because I tend to fall on my butt more now), picked a fight with my English Setter sister Chloe, and when she jumped up in the chair to get away from me, I bit her on the foot. I needed to go outside and I ran through the yard at my old dog break neck speed. It was liberating. When I came in, I got a drink and only spilled about a gallon of water on the floor since I decided it would be fun to jump in the bowl! I slept pretty good last night after all that but when I got up this morning, I am still bursting with energy. We have been outside three times and I am loving it as it is still only 78 degrees. The weather man says it is supposed to get hot again. That totally sucks for me but I bet my mom will be happy for me to settle back down. It's been a good 24 hours, though. I got some wild, wild life.

And speaking of the 80's, here's some Talking Heads for your listening and viewing pleasure - they don't make music videos like they used to in the 80's, fer sure:

P.S. Weekends are kind of busy around here now so there's a chance my mom won't have time to type for me this weekend. I don't want you to worry about this old dog - I am certain I will be back on Monday. Oh, and just in case you thought I didn't notice, what's up with no followers of this blog? Come on people, why don't you follow my fantastical life? See you soon!
